Tools of the trade

Sharing a view of my favorite tools of the trade (from the upper left, clockwise):

  • Making Memories trimmer – I’ve used this for quite some time now. It’s held up so far. I actually use the guidelines to get a straight cut, versus butting the paper up against the edge.
  • Pop dots
  • Roller stamps – I have quite the collection and am in the market for a stamp carousel.
  • Tombow adhesive – I’ve used this for a long time as well. I’ve discovered some refills are just bad or if they are exposed to air too much they don’t work as great. But for the most part I’ve had success.
  • Scotch tape
  • Scrap paper
  • Studio G gray ink – this cheapie ink is one of my favs
  • VersaFine Onyx Black ink – I find this is still the best for stamping card sentiments, always crisp & clean.
  • Wacky Tac Vellum Tape – I purchased this on QVC years ago. It works really well in that it doesn’t show thru the paper/vellum. I had to stop using it so much for cards and just bought regular tape, so I can hoard this for transparent papers.
  • Tim Holtz Tiny Attacher – probably my favorite tool ever!
  • Recollections washi tape – I am not the biggest Recollections fan, but they had this thinner tape available when I couldn’t find it elsewhere. I have a bunch of printed washi, but find I use solid colors more.
  • EK Success Cutter Bee Scissors – I’ve had both pairs over 10 years now and they still work better than any other scissors I’ve tried.
  • Sanding block – one of my most-used items. I can’t remember which brand it is, I picked it up at CKC 4 years ago. I use it to smooth out the edges of cut paper, especially for cards.
  • Sharpies
  • American Crafts Precision Pen .03
  • Sakura pens – white & stardust – I use the stardust on stamped words to add a bit of sparkle.
  • Uni-ball Signo white pen – Even though I’ve always had success with Sakura pens, I was happy to add this roller white to my collection.
  • Two-sided felt tip pen
  • Ranger Ink stamp scrubber pad
  • Post-its
  • 6-inch metal ruler (from 7th grade pre-algebra class!)
  • Graph paper – my favorite paper

Realizing a lot of my tools/go to supplies are quite old. Like 10+ years!

Do you share any favorites from above? What about old tools? What do you still use?
