I’ve been wanting to make a full page layout and just have some fun with my stash. I printed out this photo of my peanut butter pancakes from when I was sick and enlarged it a bit to fill the page more. Sometimes I get in the mood for a colorful layout and I just needed to get back to creating in general.

The base pattern paper is from Dear Lizzy 5th & Frolic line and the other pattern paper pieces are from Amy Tangerine’s Plus One line. The white dotted paper is from a 6×6 Basic Grey Basics White paper pad. The Love This chipboard embellishment is from Ali Edward’s Day in the Life kit. The wood arrow is inked first with Papertrey Ink’s Fresh Snow white inkpad, then with the aqua from Kelly Purkey’s Urban inkpads.

The orange alpha’s are from Amy Tangerine’s Plus One letter sticker book. I love these letters because there are plenty in the pack so it will last a while. The skinny orange washi is from Recollections.

PB Pancakes LO Journaling

Journaling:
For breakfast I prefer eggs, & when I eat pancakes, it’s usually with maple syrup. But for some reason when I am sick I crave peanut butter pancakes. The past few weeks I’ve eaten a few batches. Thankfully B is a great pancake-maker. It has something to do with soothing my throat and not being too hard on my tummy. I ❤ PB Pancakes.

I added the date with the rolling stamp from AE Day in the Life kit. Love this stamp because it doesn’t require doing the month/day/year format like others. It is quite versatile.

While I was putting this layout together I realized how much I do just love assembling pattern paper and letters/words together. I’m not as big on embellishments, which come more as an afterthought. In conjunction with this I’ve been evaluating how my stash relates to my style and thinking of purging to clear out the excess. I think sometimes I avoid getting into creating because of too many options with “stuff”. I want less. Always a work in progress to try to figure out what works and what does not in the memory keeping process.

Also just love adding these somewhat nonchalant stories into my albums. It is the stuff of life. The things that no one would probably ever really know unless I share it somewhere.

Mostly just enjoying this whole process lately and what storytelling and documenting brings to my life. Have to keep that at the forefront versus being too concerned over what’s not done yet!

What are some ways you keep from getting overwhelmed by too much supplies or too many stories to tell?
