Documenting Leap Day 2016

I was inspired by Amy Tangerine’s recent video to get my watercolors out and try some ombre lettering. Check her out here.

In 2012, I made a 12×12 layout with a bunch of little photos to document the events of that Leap Day. For 2016, I plan on documenting the day and making a mini 4×4 album.

I recently purchased Ali Edward’s Day in the Life kit. I wasn’t really planning on doing Day in the Life, I just like the stamp and kit contents. The kit is reasonably priced and a worthy purchase, so definitely check it out if they are still available. I like the orange and black in the kit, especially because I am going to a Flyers game Monday!

A few months back, I picked up a DCWV 4×4 chipboard album on clearance at Joanns. I have some WRMK 4×4 page protectors from an old kit that I will use.

So I am keeping it simple. Using a journal card from the DITL kit that has space to record hourly events. I will use my iPhone for photos and add some digital stamps.

Since Leap Day is a Monday, it will be interesting to record a regular Monday routine, plus I am doing some fun things. So sort of getting a little glimpse of life recorded in a simple way. I haven’t recorded a favorites list or anything like that in a while, so I think I will add that into this album. We are at a point of being in between winter & spring here, so there’s that feeling in the air!
