One way to stretch the versatility of the Minc is to use toner paper. It can be the pre-toned sheets sold by Heidi Swapp or if you have access to a toner copier/printer, you can do it yourself.

Heidi Swapp also sells patterned toner paper packs.

I needed to make a quick thank you card and thought I would get some use out of the pink foil. I previously printed out a bunch of phrases on blank white cards to use.

So I foiled the Thank You with the pink. When you peel the used foil off, you are then left with the negative image on the foil. To get use out of this instead of just discarding, find a piece of toner paper to foil the image onto.

For this I used a piece of the striped patterned toner paper from Heidi Swapp’s Signature paper pad. I ended up adding another small piece of pink foil so the whole line was foiled. This way I can just cut out the strip of foiled pink from the paper and adhere it to another card base.

You can actually add another foil color to this as well, by putting the foil over the toner Thank You and running it back through the Minc.

There is definitely ways to stretch the use of the Minc and not have too many wasted scraps.
