Why blog?

So I’m giving this blogging thing a try!  I like to write.  I do not write as much as I used to, so I am a little rusty.  I would like to improve my writing (find my voice again), and what better way then to share my other hobbies and interests.

This is a place where I will share my experiences toward creative fulfillment.  Creativity or the opportunity to be creative fuels my spirit.  It keeps me going.  I enjoy various outlets for my creativity including…

  • Memory keeping/Scrapbooking
  • Photography
  • DIY Home Projects
  • Cooking/Baking

I also want to use this space to help record and keep track of memories.  How I tell a story through scrapbooking is a process that connects thoughts with photographs.  Sometimes the story happens long before the right photo comes along, or vice versa.

Some other things I’m interested in?

  • Yoga – I have been practicing for 2 years now and nothing has been more transformative for me physically, mentally, and spiritually.  I love to hear about other people’s yoga journey.
  • Ancestry – For a few years I have been working on this project using ancestry.com and other resources.  I have information and documents scattered in different places.  I would like to get more organized with this project and start assembling a scrapbook.
  • Reading –  I love books.  Yes I still read books (not an eReader!)  I may feel compelled to share my thoughts on what I’m reading.

I love Pinterest and Instagram.  Follow me!

  1. It looks like we have a lot of similar interests (yoga, reading, scrapbooking) and we even started blogging around the same time. Adding you to my feedly. Let’s keep each other motivated on this new blogging adventure! =)
